What it is
A dental implant is a titanium post placed into the jaw bone to act as an artificial tooth root, topped with a crown once it's healed and integrated. It's the closest replacement to a natural tooth in both function and appearance. Dr. Patel has placed implants in Rajkot since the early 2000s and works with more than a dozen international implant systems.
Who it's for
- One or more missing teeth where a fixed, permanent replacement is preferred
- Loose or ill-fitting dentures that need a stable foundation
- Patients with adequate jaw bone, or who are open to bone grafting if needed

Who it isn't for
- Uncontrolled diabetes or certain other medical conditions need to be managed first, since they affect healing
- Heavy smoking significantly lowers success rates, and that trade-off is discussed honestly before proceeding
- If bone volume is insufficient and a patient isn't open to grafting, an implant isn't advisable in that spot
- The "fixed teeth in a day" protocol suits particular bone and health conditions; not every patient qualifies for it

How long does the full treatment take?
A single implant with a crown typically takes a few months from placement to final crown, to allow the bone to properly integrate. Some cases qualify for same-day fixed teeth; our team will confirm if you're a candidate.

Placement is done under local anaesthesia. Discomfort afterward is generally mild and manageable, similar to a tooth extraction.
What affects success rates?
Bone quality and quantity, gum health, smoking status, and how well post-surgical instructions are followed.
How many implants are needed for a full arch?
This depends on jaw anatomy and bite requirements; it's assessed case by case, often with a CBCT scan first.
Who is "fixed teeth in a day" for?
It suits patients with sufficient bone density and stability at the time of placement to support an immediate fixed prosthesis. Not everyone qualifies, and our team will assess this directly.
